Today, the second purlin was put in. It's a bit hard to see, but it's just left of the ridge pole. Only one more to go and we can start cutting the rafters.

Here's a shot of the ridge pole after we got it in. We used a winch tethered to the tree in the front of the house and hoisted it up. The process was a little unnerving.
