At last...

This is the building site from uphill facing north. Along the side of the road is a stone retaining wall which varies in height from 60cm at the top to 150cm towards the bottom. There is also a purple bucket which collects water that runs through a pipe from a spring that we unearthed during the excavation. The larger stone retaining wall is stepped every 100cm and goes in 60cm each step.

The bathtub will likely be where the blue wheel barrow is. The hot water for the tub will be produced by a coil of copper tubing that will be housed in the back of the masonry stove and rises to a hot water heater via convection. The bath water will be used after to wash laundry.
The toilet will be in a separate room on the left side of the building. It will be a compost toilet.

This part of the retaining wall will actually be the interior of the kitchen. The masonry stove will be on the left and the sink just right of center.

This is the spring box which collects water from an underground spring. It may be used like a root cellar for vegetables.

Looking good Chad...you should come finish my house but you'll need some insulation to get us through the winters. So when do you hope to have it finished?

Love your lil sis
